The young full-back Another confident showing by the 20-year-old following his debut against Serbia. A teammate was unable to take the opportunity from a gorgeous backheel over the opposing backline. The left-back spot is his to lose at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton A debut start for his country. A bit sloppy on the ball but his inswinging corners posed a danger. A handy pace-controller available to the manager to have versus teams who drop deep. Booked for a rash tackle. Six

The midfielder Crosses from dead balls and free-kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed room to drift down the left flank only to be in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a deserved rest around the 60-minute point. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward role down the right and also contributed with defensive duties. Showed flashes of quality and mishit a shot wide. Replaced late on for a teammate, his competition, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Had the team's best chance in the opening period, his shot excellently kept out by the Albanian keeper. With Quansah hanging back, he had to stretch the play on the right but his crosses from the touchline were inconsistent. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes for his country. The opener a typical opportunist's goal and his next a superb headed goal after peeling away from his marker. Now 32, he continues to improve and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him leading the line. Eight

The attacker Struggled to influence play from the left. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by the midfielder yet the keeper denied him. Rashford had a greater an impact when substituted. Five
